Damage photos from 1975 collision
with the USS
Saratoga CV-60 by Bruce Kromer. Bruce was running the span wire on
the 02 level that day and had to take off running because the Sara also
damaged the 02 and 03 level of the forward super structure.
Unfortunately he didn't have pictures of that damage. Notice the
temporary railing the HT's had to weld because of the hole in the
Bow.

I was aboard the USS
Eaton DD-510 in 66 and 67 in the Caribbean. We
represented the United States on the island of Barbados when she
declared her independence. The Mississinewa was our oiler.
There was a time when I had quite a few pictures of her, but, alas,
they are misplaced. These are on the Eaton's website attached to
a copy of some of my diary published there.
