USS Mississinewa AO-59 lost in WWII
William Schultz, an Essex airdale 66-68, bid on and obtained a copy of a USS Essex (CVS-9) Dependants' Day Cruise, from October 1967 from EBay. The winning bid was 16 bucks. He scanned the postcard sized image, repaired and radically enhanced a picture of the USS Essex (CVS-9), the USS Joseph K Taussig (DE-1033), and the Mississinewa(AO-144). Bill added about 100 feet of ocean, removed a bunch of some rectagonal holes (for the binding rings) and got this image. William remember unrepping from the Missy. They looked forward to seeing her.
