I enjoyed the site. Really brought back some memories...The Missy was a hell of a proud ship; sad to see her decaying into what she is now... :-( FWIW, on our 10th wedding anniversary, we went to Hawaii, and visited Pearl, among other places. While we were there, we saw a tanker in the harbor, and it might have been the Kawishiwi, I'm not sure. This was in June of 1979. It almost brought tears to my eyes. They wouldn't let us board the old ship, which kind of ticked me a little. But, that's the way it goes, I guess. Let me know of any other AO stuff you find, okay? I might have some pictures of the Missy stashed away somewhere. I served on her from 1962 until EAOS, 1965. I made a Med cruise and a yard overhaul, as well as a GTMO cruise.
