I'm very interested in getting together for a reunion. The location mentioned is fine with me. I live in western N.Y.S., the village of Churchville. I started out working with deck force, until I had gotten a ride home one weekend to LeRoy,N.Y.(home) with the officer in charge of Fox Division(gunners&FTG's). After lenthy dicussions about electronics, when we returned to the Missy, I was told to move to Fox division!! Best move I had ever made. It helped me to gain knowledge into electronics and now I'm an electrical control systems specialist and much more. While on the Missy, we spent time in Norfolk tender period, then to Boston dry docks. After that off to Gitmo for shakedown. During 1965/66 we serviced in the Med with the 6th fleet. Our home port was, Newport,RI. Had a lot of good times there and in Boston. I can only remember a couple names at this time Lenny(Goose)Yankovic and Mack(1st class FTG), both from Fox Div. Let me know if the reunion will be this year of 2004, I definitely will make it.
